Teeth

Hello All,

Sorry for the long absence again. I was busy and i was sick.

About 2-3 years ago, I remembered sharing a post on how pain my teeth was - the molar. The root canal treatment would be about $2K plus and i cant use medisave. I decided to live with the pain, took consultations with 4 dentist and the last one gave me antibiotics. It subsided. However somewhere along after that, my molar broke into 2.

I left it alone until recently. My gum swell so bad that i had to visit a dentist.

The result?

An extraction. It cost me $620.00 payable by medisave - i hope its 100%.

The initial cost was $70 and $50 for administration charge. total cost $740!

I already fork out $120 in cash, claimable by company is $70. I hope the balance is medisave approved.

Today i went back to remove the stitch. Guess what? the dentist did the cleaning, declare that i have gum disease and it will take her 4 weeks to get everything out of my gums at a cost of $800! :(

Now should i proceed or should i get a 2nd opinion?

I know i did not take good care of my teeth and i tihnk i better start now, considering im 30 and they said all sorts of illnesses do leads on to other diseases in life.

But i seriously need an opinion from anyone of you familiar with this. Anyone can help to give that 2nd, 3rd opinion?
