Nindaku - Hajjah Mariam

Bismillahirrahmannirrahim

*Ninda - the royal equivalent of Nenek (Grandmother)*

An Nisa' Verse 36
Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful.

Al An'Am Verse 151
Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason."

Al Isra' Verse 23 - 24
And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.

And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small."

Al Ankabut Verse 8
And We have enjoined upon man goodness to parents. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.

Luqman Verse 14 - 15
And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.

But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.

Al Ahqaf Verse 15-16
And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims."

Those are the ones from whom We will accept the best of what they did and overlook their misdeeds, [their being] among the companions of Paradise. [That is] the promise of truth which they had been promised.

Read the verses above? See those red words?
That's how much Allah SWT loves us. He gave us parents who care for us - who EARNED rewards for caring for us and in turn He freely REWARDS us when we have to care our parents.

In my FB posting today, I mentioned that in June 2015, providence will be on their way to us. Allah SWT had answered my prayers.

After 7 years, my grandmother, Hajjah Mariam & aunt,  will be staying with us.
We last care for them in 2007/2008 period. My uncle, approached my parents about a few months back to initiate the discussion. However as they will be using my room, my mom suggested to my uncle to ask me directly. Of course I said yes. How can I say no?

Alhamdulillah, the whole family agree and excited to receive them. The idea was to get them in by end of May 2015. However, parents have a wedding to attend in Melaka in June and Mak is not comfortable with the idea of leaving them alone with the maid and us. She personally wants to oversee the caring of both Ninda & aunty.

There is so much to prepare. I have to start packing my clothes and place them in my brother's room and keep my wardrobe and some drawers free for them.

We have to start ensuring the house is spick and span and non slippery. The maid has been given instructions on the additional duties that she will have to do, however, her sleeping schedule remains the same. We have to enlist the help of my aunt if Ninda has to wake up at night to go toilet. I will also be spending more time here to ensure Ninda is well and fine.

It is going to be a busy raya as well. The last time when we had Ninda, our raya expenditure was about double. We have to host many extended families and that particular  year, I remember my parents were unable to visit others as they were busy receiving guests.

Ninda is 85 years old this year. A bit forgetful but still sweet in nature. Always thinking of a lot of things, talking about the past often and repeatedly that we all can only nod in polite acceptance.

Patience is the KEY in handling the elderly.

The ultimate reward however, is limitless.

I look forward to caring for Ninda again.

Inshaa Allah.

Jodoh.

This morning, I was on my way to work when I received a call from a good friend - let's call her Tina.

Tina is your typical, studious girl, who is forever in jeans and tshirt, with pony tail hair, black frame specs and the nice personality to go along with.

She is working in the F&B industry as part of the corporate office managers. She was hurt by her parents accusations that she is probably a lesbian since she has more girlfriends than boyfriends and since she is reaching 30, not even 1 guy has ever made it in her life.

You see, the poor girl was bawling her eyes out when she called me. I had to calm her down and tell her to continue crying softly to let out the negative feelings.

I don't understand parents or relatives or friends or anyone who thinks they know more about others, to the extent that their so called "truth" about someone.

You see, I been thru that and with my laser sharp tongue, no one dares to repeat it to my face.

When you are drop dead gorgeous or handsome but not attached, you are assume to be gay or lesbian.
When you display characters that is not what you should be as per others expectations, you will be assumed to be a drag, sissy or butch.
When you are young and naive but you chose to get married, wagging tongues will assume you are having a shotgun marriage.
When you are old and people think you intend to live it out as a bachelor or spinster, they assume no one wants you as you are probably ugly, mindless bimbo or himbo, too fussy or career minded BUT if you give them a card to your wedding - they will say - wanna die get married for what??

When you just got married and start to plan your life, the natural questions will come by - when's the baby coming. It's pretty alright for the 1st year. Anticipate frowns in the 2nd year.

If its too long after marriage, they will say you are planning it too long,
If its too fast after marriage, they will say you conceive it before marriage,
If nothing comes out after 2 years, they probably say that the wife took the pick or the husband not enough ammunition,

You see, what we do we are judge everyday, so fuck them all.

Live and let live and let YOUR own choice dictate your life.

Not others.

Keep yourself happy and no one if fit to tell you what you have to do except yourself.

Keredhaan

It seems more meaningful to write this entry in malay but for the benefits of the non-malay speaking I will try my best to write it in English and try to attain the same "feel" that it should have when written in Malay.

Keredhaan from the words re-dha (pronounced as ray-dar) which simply means - Trust.

In this context Trust to Allah SWT.

Personally i find Redha goes well with Sabar (patience).

If you are redha with a given situation and place your trust in Him and goes through it with patience, you are a winner.

In life, there are many instances that you have to learn how to place your trust.

I won't make comparisons among friends but i will just relate mine:

Majority of my facebook contacts are friends from different time of my life -  childhood friends, best friends, kewat friends, lesbian friends, whatever friends and as human, we will come across different types of people in our life.

People are different, we are brought up differently and we are taught differently by our parents. As the eldest child and only child for the first 5 years of my childhood, I was very sheltered. Totally.

When i started schooling, Euniz was born and that marks the end of pamperdom. I had to learn how to adapt to changes and i don't really adapt - at all.

I have always believe that i can never relate to boys - they are smelly, loud, mischievious and rough. I was the opposite.

Hence i mixed with lots of girls from my younger days as a child till today. I am comfortable with girls.

It is never smooth sailing though. I get teased a lot... which is pretty normal.. of course i admit i cried, i feel sucky, i got depressed, i went counselling and i rebel. I tried telling my mother but you know how parents are - they tell you to behave like a boy. But tell that to a 6 year old boy who doesn't understand WHY kids reject him back then and i said Am i Not A BOY (open my shorts and look in there!)?

And one day, it dawn to me that peoples' opinion dont really matter because i have mine. My life is mine to live and only Allah SWT judge.

Who are they to bring me down?

Should not they be helping me instead?

From then on, arm with a renewed energy, given a new lease of my life, i turn my life around to where i am today.

Perhaps i don't earn a million dollars, but i got a million reasons to be happy.

I can only look back that despite the numerous trials i face in my life, 2 things i uphold to:
patience and redha...

In my heart, i accept the reality of the situation.
In my heart, i believe that eventually things will be better.
In my heart, i believe that with patience and determination, this part of my life will be over,
In my heart, i believe that with redha, you will eventually get what you want.

and all this is for who? not just myself, but the family that stood by me and see me cry every single day.

And i have always believe that those will ill intent will be fully rewarded by Him and i don't need to explain or resort to anything to make that happen. We have to accept the situation and we place our trust in Him and hopefully He makes it better for us.

I accepted whatever they did to me and no matter how painful it is, i bear with it because i believe it is for me to endure.

and with this coming situation that the family is facing, I urge all of you to pray for us in order to be guided by Him. Insya Allah, as a family, we will get thru this because we trust Him who decide all things. Amin.

Turning 29.

As like the previous years, i have the tendency to write something up on the eve of my birthday. This year is no different.

This would be the last of the twenties. It is my 29th.

Life for me has not changed much. I am still the same person, wearing the same clothes almost every other day but perhaps i have changed to be a more better person.

Aside recent activities, that caused my temper to flare - i find that many old friends have begin to touch base with me. I was also consulted on various issues they face from financial matters to marriage life issues.

I am not sure why they tend to ask me but perhaps, they believe that i have faced much of life adversity and i always believe there are more to come depending on the type of person you are.

Nevertheless, i am always thankful for what has been given to me. Alhamdulillah, my providence is still with this same company. My providence is not meant for me alone. It is shared among family & the less fortunate.

There are many of my old friends who are of the same age as me, love the life that i lived, endure the pain that i went through and laugh together with me during good times.

For that, here with are the people i dedicate my life to:

My father

He looks like Mahadi Syor if you dont give him a 2nd look. He may look serious but actually he is a clown beneath. He never fails to make us laugh during our meals together.

He is a very good father. I am very sure of that because at his age now, he still works to support the family. He is someone i can pour my woes to and share my problem with. Usually finance matters i will let him know :)

I am like his personal assistant, approving his credit cards, allowing what to buy what not to buy and all financial matters must seek my approval before he swipe the cards.

He is one person that i always love but i will never show it :P coz he is not the sentimental type!

My Mother

Mother has been the central person in my life. She adores me and i know that :)
There are many things i can actually write and go on and on about her but i guess not before you guys find it cloying.

Whatever it is, i am very sure you all know Mothers are the best cook, best person to let ur emotions to, u can cry your heart out and she will ease your heartache, be ill and she will be the doctor.

A mother completes our life. I will never know what life is like without her. :)

Beloved

Finally, i m putting this on record. Beloved is someone very close to me. beloved dont like to be mentioned nor to be seen but beloved is around :) physically & emotionally.

Beloved adores me too and forgives me too easily whenever i made my beloved angry. that's beloved nature.

Such is the bond that we have. Till date, i still love my beloved.

Siblings

As the eldest of 4, i hold part of the responsibility of nurturing, disciplining them. I realize that the hard tactic of scolding and screaming no longer works. I turn to be more friendly in my approach nowadays and talk it out with them as compared to last time. It seems to work better.

To Y - you are my sister; among the 4 of us, you made it all the way up there. I can only pray that Allah bless you with a good husband, good children in future & a good marriage life. Obstacles are meant for us to go thru. it is only thru these life lessons we grow up to a be better person.
You are the most beautiful among us and we all know it. The ugly duckling is now a beautiful swan. I watch you grew up remember that. You also dont take to heart what others say or did towards you. I have eyes and ears and i heard and seen what others did to you. I m thankful that you do not follow my hot tempered nature. Such is the balance that exist between us.

PS: tell him to count his blessings. u know who i m referring to.

To K - you are the other male after your sister. A huge responsibility awaits us. Aside from what had happen within this few weeks, i hope you will know what the word "responsibility" means. In 2 months' time, you will finish your NS liability - my hope that you will get a good job and start building your life. It is never easy but no one says it is difficult either.

Allah SWT will provide if you ask. Allah SWT will give if you persist. Be a good Muslim - such is the requirement of us men.

To A - you are the baby of the family. The jewel of the family. It is obvious that among 4 of us you are the smartest in the family. However, there is much more to learn.
you will never know when you might lose a love one, cherish them while they are around & dont ignore them when they are still around. You will get my meaning if you realize how old our parents are now.

Good Friends Who have been with me thru thick & thin

And as always my number one is Suriana.Hey Girl thanks for the long years of friendship. This is the best gift that i can ever have. I do wish you have more time for me though~

I have renewed friendship with Surjali Aslah. Another good friend.

Not forgetting the kind friends from NSS who have given me endless support.

The lovely FB friends.

My lovable Kak Nurul

Great new acquaintance from FB - Dayang Nira....

Not forgetting colleagues who have been there with me all the time for the past 5-8 years of my working life.

Life is a never ending journey. At each crossroads, we come across different directions we can take. Our choice is always influenced by the people that we love.

I hope my choice is in direction of Allah SWT. It is in my hope that He leads me on to the right path. I am thankful for what it has been for the past year. The road has been smooth so far and i hope it would remain that way for the subsequent years - Insya Allah.

Ya Rabb,
Hear my prayers,
From your humbled servant,
Serving his Lord.

Ya Rabb,
Hear my thoughts,
Deep in my heart,
Heartache of a son,
Wishing for relief

Ya Rabb,
Feel my pain
deep in my soul
worrying for the siblings,
Wishing for solution

Ya Rabb,
Bless them all,
Bless us All,
We hold on tight,
to the rope of righteous.

Ya Rabb,
Bless those who prays to You,
Reward those who seek You,
Be with those who remembers You,

My thanks to you God.
For letting me journey so far.
May You let me go further,
Till the youthful skin sag,
Till the eyes turn blue,
Till the hair turns white.
Only You can grant this wish of mine.

Amin.

Online Shopping

Last month in June, i went online shopping and...i bought....

I was definitely very happy when i got this book which means - MORE online shopping to come and here was the damage list that i had done to myself yesterday night:

05th July 2010 transactions

Amazon.com - Another make up book by the late Kevyn Aucoin - US$10.70

Amazon.com - 13 piece set of make up brushes - US$21.90

The problem with both items is that they are not able to ship directly to Singapore hence i had to send them to VPOST USA first and they will send it to VPOST SG. that will be a different charge..but its cheaper than buying it here :)

From Coastal Scent, i ordered

2 Sets of Combo Set of make up which consist of 88 warm coloured pallets, blush pallet and a mascara for only US$36.95 (1 for me and 1 for Hamidah)

Medium Camo Quad for US$7.95

A set of all the sample sizes of liquid foundation for US$6.95

Brow Tones Palette for US$9.95

Color Corrector Quad for US$7.95

total damage: US$106.70 + US$48.75 for shipping
Total: US$155.45

I think in future i will order more so that i can share the shipping cost with colleagues :)

For this they send it directly so i am ok! :)

Life experiences

Sometimes, it takes a while to realise who your friends really are.

Masa senang ada.
Masa susah tiada.

bila senang ramai kawan
bila susah - boleh kira dengan jari jemari.

Tapi tak mengapa.
Aku pun tak rugi apa apa.

Allah senantiasa ada,
Rezeki ku datang dariNya,
Pengampunan ku di beriNya,
Nafasku percuma dariNya
Hidupku selamat keranaNya.

Ya Allah, berikan lah yang terbaik buatku - kerana aku tak akan tahu dugaan apa yang akan Kau berikan padaku. Kau lebih Maha Mengetahui. Aku pohon di berikan kesabaran untuk menjalaninya. Amin.

Imagination runs wild...

*title of the day - What Can I Do If I Win / Have a Million Dollars?*

PLENTY!!!!

First of all....

1. Set aside 50% to the bank and tell myself i will get back to it later

2. The balance of 50%, 15% will go to charity. Be it a religious organization or a social home etc.

3. 15% of the balance 50% will go to my immediate family members

4. 20% will go to the extended family members regardless from which side (paternal/maternal)

Now for my balance share of 50%,

1. 10% will be on shopping spree/holiday trips etc

2. 10% saved for future uses

3. 5% for outstanding debts/prepayments of utilities/home mortgage

4. 25% will go to Walton International - where i can invest my money and earn much much more than what the bank can offer me - the only risk is ? time!

To find out more click on the link - www.waltoninternational.com

The only company that i trust my money on - not that i have savings in there but their strategy is sound, low risk and the factor that we have to really consider is TIME.

Losing love..

Love comes to us in different forms. They keep us occupied, safe and feeling good everyday.

When one lose love, it can be quite devastating...

There are many reasons why we lost love...we lost love due to long distance, we can lose love because we lack communication, we lost love because perhaps...it has found another companion..

You never know...and the signs are obvious...

whatever it is...dont cry because of love...for someone who hurt you now..will be hurt even deeper by someone else that he chose to love...& leave the one who has loved him more than ever...

remember the lyrics Cinta?

"cinta...tegarkan hatiku..tak mahu sesuatu merengut engkau..naluri ku berkata..tak ingin berulang lagi..kehilangan cinta hati bagai raga tak bernyawa.."

Whatever the reasons are..the excuses that is being given..even if it is real...never shed a tear...coz u r just wallowing in that moment of self pity..

Just be strong..and steel ur heart..delete the number..remove everything that reminds your ex-love and MOVE ON.

Nothing beats better than this :) I m sure it will work for many of u.. :) enjoy k? * Hugs *

Updates!

Hi All!

It's been a while since i last wrote. I do log in everyday but for some reason, didnt have the mood to write.

There is a lot that i would like to update all of you.

Sister
My sister - the one born after me, is officially engaged during the first week of April 2010.
Her bf's family came and made the official proposal for her  hand in marriage.
She got:
* 2 rings - one is called the "cincin tanda tanya" - which signify to ask if she is an unmarried, unattached virgin :P while the other is called the "cincin tunang" - which signify that she is now officially pre-booked for her husband to be.

* a basket of fruits - which we later give away

* an engagement pink cake - which we share out too

* a set of cloth

* & also a roll up notes amounting to $100 which signify the "wang hantaran" which means after the akad nikah her husband will give her $10K as the wang hantaran - Alhamdulillah.

The event was presided by my parents, my dad's eldest sister and her husband and dad's youngest sister.

I was busy in the kitchen :P

Thank God they didnt raise the issue of "langkah Bendul" - according to some who still practise it, this is actually a gift given to the elder sibling who is still single. As my sister is marrying first before me, her husband to be, according to this Tradition, must give me something.

I m happy they didnt  bring this up..as i dont see the significant of it.

Secondly, after a few weeks of lamenting and thinking and checking (i assume - well i did checked too)my sister set a date for her wedding to be 1st October 2011 - this is very significant too ( i shall explain later on that day itself)

I checked the various popular Mak Andam Bridal Houses and found out that majority are booked on that day!

It was definitely a situation...however, i am pleased to share that my sister has appointed my uncle as her designer and i am the make up artist. however I will bring in 2 more make up artist to help me on that blissful day.

Alhamdulillah.

Over some of the weekends, we had went aroudn the various malls and shopping centres looking for the suitable wedding beds (yah..we are anxious about it..but no harm looking around and calculating)

The last weekend, i was with my uncle to look around for materials..there are some that attract our eyes but not within the budget (the particular sister set a budget of $2K for 5 sets...i manage for 3 sets with $1.5K - tailoring inclusive)

Well, truth hurts but it's cheaper than the bridal houses :P

And to have me managing it, i am sure my parents are proud of me.. :)

that's all for now...i m looking forward to feedback for accessories and how to wear good nice flawless tudung.. update me on that..if anyone has info, feel free to message me :)

Hugs

Ageing Skin

I was in the office. Being the vain me i had put a small Muji mirror right infront of me while i m working so i can observe how i smile while talking to the client on the phone.

It is not part of my job to do that but for some reasons it returns back the "psychological" effect when you realise that you must have patience when talking to irate clients.

It helps by letting me realise how ugly i look if i m pissed so i should continue smiling :)

It was during on the week when i was touching my skin that i looked in the mirror..i m reaching my last number of my 20s and i still remember how i used to have a waist of 25" and how fabulous i look back then.

how clear my skin and how many girls and men..(yes men) used to pass their numbers to me..i m glad i ignore it all coz now i m so unlike that young chap anymore! ahhaa

my waist is now 33" and my skin seems to age badly.

when i try to pull my skin, i obsesrve that the pores becomes smaller and my skin look radiantly young and flawless!

i played with it for a few more times and realised it is really true..i have aged faster than someone i know...i saw a 40 year old friend recently..and i m not surprised if those bouncers asked for his I/C one of these days!

Cosmetic surgery is out...i m too young to have one.

The best is, to do it naturally....i try to recall during the days when i had supple nice skin..

i was still slim..i exerise more...i was in the army and they fed us fruits everymeal...i had proper breakfast  (unlikenow)

I decide to start my action plan yesterday night.

I drank a glass of water...took my vits and sleep!

I woke up, a friend message me on FB ( i put up my FB status on my ageing skin), mentioned that drinking water at nights makes eyes puffy.

I checked the mirror...hmm he is right...i shud drink maybe half a glass now just to hydrate my body.

He also mentioned i should drink 2 glasses of lukewarmwater the moment i wake up...i guess i should too...and i did! :)

the results - more bowel movements.

But anyway for next week meals..fruits will be inmy diet.....plenty of it..in order to lose weight, i will start to drink water to make me 3/4 full and then start to eat for lunch..

avoiding all egg noodles but only taking bee hoon.. no more fried stuff breakfast for me.. just bread and coffee and lots of water! :)  and fruits!

oh well wish me luck..i need to look good for next year u know! :)

*hugs*

Ulasan 3 - Voguelicious

Ketiga
Kita perlu menyelidik cara pendidikan disekolah.

First and foremost, as discussed with my fellow friends, who almost have the same desires as they are - who are effeminate and older...and yours truly who was forever being teased, disturbed and whatever you have witness, that this publication is totally unnecessary.

What are they trying to prove? To be accepted? To gain publicity? To be Popular?

Nothing. I dont see anything good coming out of it.

First of all, let's get this clear.

even if they feel that they are supposed to be women, judging from their names i assume THEY are Muslims - our Muslim Women are not supposed to be even dressed the way they are dressed.

secondly, if you dont want people to pay attention to you, dress modestly, not provocatively.

thirdly, dont BLAME people if you get sneered - you asked for it.

I have friends who are almost the same as they are but they know how to behave themselves. They dress modestly, hold good jobs, support the family and learn how to change with the times.

What are these kids doing? I am not sure of their background - they seems to love dancing which is good at least it is not an immoral activity, some are school drop outs.. how many are graduates? if they are, good. if they are not, maybe there is more to life than just dropping out of school and mess it up right?

Where are the parents? Should not the parents take a keen interest in their children's life?

Let's not even go to the religion side of it yet..just view it based on moral values - RIGHT OR WRONG?

Putting myself in their shoes, perhaps i feel that they are just expressing themselves but do it with dignity...why shame people that are related to you? why are u even agreeing to talk about it to the media in the first place?

Whatever it is, remember it is not just about you. It affects the people around you. Even if your loved ones can accept you, have you forgotten something? Him who create us ? Him who gives us life? Have you all forgotten Him?

Perhaps they are still young and as mentioned by Fauzi Rassul, perhaps it is just a phase.

If i were to sing..which song will i sing

Lately, I have been singing 3 songs. Why? In anticipation of a wedding in the works. I do hope i can get to sing these songs live.

What and by Whom? Read on:

This will be the first song because of the lyrics. I love the lyrics and the last lyric can make me tear.

This will be the second song because Datin Seri Hajjah Siti Nurhaliza sings it better than the original male singer (No offence intended)

This song certainly brought back memories but i will sing because i love Anuar Zain and some people have said i look like him (no offence but take a closer look when you meet me next time :P )

There you go, 3 songs in my list for a wedding that is still in the dreams.

Marriage or Uni or Career ?

As you all know ( i didnt really mention) but from piccies that i put up now and then, i have 2 younger sisters and 1 younger brother.

The sister after me - Euniz will be graduating from polytechnic in a few months' time. I feel so happy for her.

We all know she is going out with a certain someone and if things turn out well, she may get hitched for life.

However, as I have always emphasis her the need for an education, she has been babbling about on entering university.

She is not that smart but better than me i suppose. She wanted to go either to SIM or MDIS where she can take part time. I am up for it but it will take a while to save up. Bank loans are out of the question though.

She finishes classes in Feb 2010 and i told her not to start work first. She has already applied to be a relief teacher first though - even though i verbally disagree but in my heart i was full of pride :)

The reason is because very simple, i rather she concentrate on learning how to be a good wife - cook, sew, plan the budget etc. For wedding, my parents have decided to pay for the food etc while i help my sister to pay for the Mak Andam cost. I am ok with it lah.

Which brother dont love her sister u tell me?

So with all these events taking place, she dont know which to choose.

My solution to her is simple. Her husband to be has reached the age that he has to get married. He is her senior by 7 years i think and older than me by 1 (but he still has to call me Abang eh)

Get married, have kids if you want to but that means putting career or Uni on hold OR

Get married, hold the idea of having kids and go and establish career and study part time.

There is only 2 but she has a 3rd option - go Uni and Start career but hold marriage. I told her if she choose the 3rd option, she might as well tell the hubby to be to find someone else.

It is very unlikely he will wait for her.

I am so hoping she will have the 1st..i want a baby...been a while i carry kids on my lap!

i tell you my future nieces and nephews will be very pampered by me..this is confirm and guaranteed.

haiz...time pass so well...the prospect of her being cared by someone else after the nikah bring tears to my eyes sometimes but Allah will care for her and hopefully she is given the best and solution to all her wants. Insya Allah.

Commentary

My sister made a remark that my blog is too dead. No one wants to listen on sermons and religion matters. No one will care on my views and no one really bother if the world will exist tomorrow.

She said i should turn my blog into something that people would want to visit and i should make money out of it.

The very reason i started blogging was because i felt that there should be some place where i am free to say something and hopefully someone can rebutt me and teach me something new. That was my purpose.

To learn and know something so deep that I may not have thought of in the first place.

Having said that and listening to her, i decided to give it a try. Yours Truly aint really born or fed with a silver spoon and I am just hoping that I will die with enough money for the next generation - erm not my direct descendant as I am still single.

I updated my blog list and i may intend to change my banner and my colour scheme. But then this colour is my favourite ! i cant believe she says its dull.

I removed music for i find it quite irritating to hear music while i read.

However i intend to talk about politics soon. Something to do with the malay community as well.

Perhaps I should. It's sort of a wake up call.

Khamar - Arak - Tuak

As we all know alcoholic drinks are forbidden in Islam. Why it is forbidden because some people just lament the fact that God Says so.

Note that in the beginning, alcoholic drinks is as common as water and everyone will serve that.

Allah has shown mercy to them (at that point) by not prohibiting or forbidden it totally but slowly.

Proof of that is 4 verses came down to proof it:

1. An Nahl Ayat 67

And from the fruits of the palm trees and grapevines you take intoxicant and good provision. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who reason.

2. Al Baqarah Ayat 219

They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, "In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs]." Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought.

3. An Nisa Ayat 43

O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying or in a state of janabah, except those passing through [a place of prayer], until you have washed [your whole body]. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and find no water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands [with it]. Indeed, Allah is ever Pardoning and Forgiving.

4. Al Maidah Ayat 90-91

O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah ], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful.

Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
tell me if these 4 does not deters you to stop drinking...what then will stop you? wait for you to get hit by a car when you are drunk hoping for a 2nd chance then you will stopped?

A Joke...

Now we know why Islam stress the importance of separate bedrooms between parents and children when they attain a certain age and why brothers and sisters can't sleep together when they reached a certain age.

Heard on the streets one day while I was hanging out with an ex colleague in front of Hotel 81 where I used to work..a young boy was peeing on the grass patch near the hotel staircase..

Mommy to Boy about 5-6 years old:
Hey why you pee there??? You can't anyhow pee let people see! Later police catch u I donno hor!!
* spanks boy*

Boy: cries loudly..

Mommy: stop crying. I buy u sweets from the shop..Stop Crying!!!!

Boy: how come Daddy can pee in your mouth that day I saw one...

At this revelation the mother's face turn red and she grabbed the boy out from our view while me and my friend tries very hard to keep a straight face.

Just to share ... It happened about 5 years back..and one of the most memorable that I still remember to date.

Don't forget to lock your bedroom tonight and if u have young kids sleeping with u, make sure they are asleep or very most find an alternative place for your ECA. :)

Regards

edzwan..
